About Me

"A Space to Be Seen, Exactly as You Are"

Life has a way of testing the very limits of what we think we can endure. If you are feeling overwhelmed, "not good enough," or lost in the wake of life’s events, I want you to know that you don't have to carry that weight alone.

My path to becoming a counsellor wasn't a straight line through textbooks; it was paved by my own journey through the complexities of the human condition. I have navigated the depths of recurring depression, the weight of profound grief, and the sharp edges of trauma and injustice. I know what it feels like when the world feels unsafe, when relationships fracture, and when your own sense of worth feels out of reach.

Why I Work This Way

I chose the person-centered approach because I believe that even in our darkest moments, we possess inner wisdom. My own experiences—from facing systemic tragedy and personal loss to navigating the challenges of fatherhood, paternity fraud and financial hardship—have taught me one thing above all else: being truly heard, without judgment, is where healing begins. Understanding what another person is experiencing from their own perspective can be a truly enlightening experience. I see this with the students that I teach at level 2 and level 3 counselling classes, and how much they ‘grow’ from understanding their life and the impacts that have shaped them.

Why work with me?

  • 1000+ hours clinical counselling practice

  • Experience supporting trauma, loss, and life transition

  • Counselling tutor and educator

  • Person-centred, grounded, non-judgemental approach

What You Can Expect From Me

I don’t sit across from you as a clinical expert who has all the answers. I show up as a fellow human being.

  • I offer a "holding space": A place where no part of your story is "too much" or too dark to share.

  • I honor your autonomy: You lead the way. You decide what we explore and when.

  • I bring genuine empathy: I understand the courage it takes to keep going when you feel "not enough." I see your resilience even when you can't see it yourself.

Whether you are navigating the pain of a relationship breakdown, the silence of grief, or the echoes of past trauma, I am here to walk alongside you. You are the expert on your life; I am simply here to provide the warmth, safety, and light you need to find your way back to yourself.
